One of the frustrations I have when buying new equipment, hardware and software, are reviews written by people who either a) don’t pay for the item so feel obligated to play down any negative points b) don’t use the gear in anger or c) base their criticisms and views on other reviews without actually using the gear. On this page you will find reviews of some of the gear I use and also how I use it in working situations. The aim is to make these reviews ongoing – as updates come out to the software I will update the review.

The DAW I use is Logic Pro X on a Mac Mini i7 Quad Core with 16Gb of memory. The monitor is a bog standard Acer 24″ screen. This is probably a truer reflection of the average home users setup than some of the near supercomputers and large monitor setups that some reviewers use.
